Combined Timber Crafts

This project used antique Heart pine from an east coast cotton gin and was re-sawn to size from 13”x15” timbers. After the re-sawing process was completed, we distressed and aged the timbers with an adzed finish, revealing a unique rustic look.

The timbers used were reclaimed Heart pine, 90 years of age, in a re-sawn form. The timbers were finished with a natural transparent stain allowing the beauty of the antique wood to show through.

This timberwork carried a bold yet simple flat truss system. Complete integrated joinery tied this frame into one structural entity. These timbers are a hand planed, aged, and reclaimed Heart pine.

This project consisted of a reclaimed Douglas Fir in an “As Is” form. Pulled from a building and incorporated into new structure in their natural state.

These timbers were a re-claimed then re-sawn Douglas Fir with characteristic nail and bolt holes leaving a splash of rust stain around them.
